Well I thought about attaching this to D. Anderson’s “New Camera” thread but I think I’m looking for somehting different.

I use a Pentax Optio W90, and my son uses the Pentax Optio WS80.  Great cameras, great underwater for a P&S and I do all of my close-up fly shots with it also.

Here are some shots, not the same caliber as some of the pros on this site, but several were good enough to get published with my article in Flyfishing & Tying Journal last November:

    Good luck in your search.

    Kelly.

Thanks Kelly. Great pics. I’ll definitely check out the Pentax Optio W90.

    Nice shots Kelly.. 😎

Pretty amazing what you can do with a pocket camera these days..

A picture is thousand words that takes less than a second while a thousand words is a picture that takes a month.

A point and shoot, waterproof, copact digital camera is exactly what I need. My wife offered me her old Nikon D 90, but I just don’t have room in my bag for it. It surely isn’t a point and shoot and isn’t compact either.

The point and shoot digital camera I am currently using gave up on me during my last summer excursion. I had it in the internal chest pocket of my breathable waders. Sweat killed it.

I am hunting a replacement. I seem to recall that there was a newer model that has GPS. I think it would be nice to tag the photos with a location so I can recall where and when I caught particular fish. Using the camera as a record keeping device for upcoming trips has a certain appeal.

I use the Canon PowerShot D10.  I love not worrying about the camera getting wet, and I think it does a nice job on macro shots:

The Pentax w90 gets my vote. Rugged, light and waterproof.

I liked my Pentax WS60, but once it drowned, I got a little leary of Pentax.
