    Hey Folks –

Anybody got intel on a good photo album/organizer app for the ipad that will amp up the woefully inadequate built in photo album?

Don’t need processing or goofy frames/backgrounds. Just need a way to drag RAW files into folders and maybe display them with a slideshow. Looked at Portfolio, but it won’t display RAW files.

    Thanks in advance!

I use two apps when working in RAW and then export them to my photo library or other gallery apps.

Check out Photogene.  It is pretty cheap and is more of a photo editor but it supports RAW.   http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/photogene-for-ipad/id363448251?mt=8#

The more expensive piRAWnha uses RAW and I use it but it is $9.99 http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/pirawnha/id409747795?mt=8#
It has been buggy and I am not sure I would buy it.

I also own portfolio.  And although it does not support RAW, you can export your RAW images and display them in portfolio when you are done.

Thanks, Jay – found one too called Photo Shack.

I’m mainly using the iPad for backup storage/viewing on shoots. Dumping cards into it for redundancy. Not for editing on the road. Hoping to one day be able to leave the laptop at home.

Got one coming up though where I also need to also pull shots into specific named folders and present the clients with a slideshow.

So far this app is working good. Only problem now is the initial download time from camera to iPad.

    Sloooooooowwwwwwww…..
