MemberHey Guys,
I just rediscovered this board, and found the quantity and quality of information absolutely amazing and inspiring, and the warm friendly atmosphere seems so inviting.
I actually joined The Itinerant Angler forum back in 2006 when I bought my first SLR, a Nikon D200. At that time I had vision of images I desired to capture, but my lack of fundamental skills and techniques made me feel somewhat intimidated by the board members, who knew what they were talking about.
Now that a few years have passed, thousands of images captured, and growing self confidence with respect to my photographic capabilities, I finally feel ready to participate here. Fly fishing and tying are passions that burn deep and supply me with great self satisfaction, and I have to say that photography in general has enriched my life in so many ways. In the past few years I have allowed my camera to lead the way, and I willing follow, shooting birds, wildflowers, landscapes, fish, bugs, basically anything I find interesting and/or beautiful. I have arrived at the point where photography brings me as much joy as bringing a fish to hand, and I hope to be able to share my passion and knowledge as well as learn and be inspired by others.
I’m glad to be here.
Most recently I have been fly fishing the salt in Malibu for Leopard sharks. I don’t have any underwater shots, yet, the surf has been up, keeping the water too churned up with sand along shore.
Cheers,
Graham

Ben CochranMemberGreat to see you again Graham! Seems that it was way back during the FFF International Fly Tying Competition and the associated forum, that I last saw those amazing realistic fly tying patterns that you tie. Glad to see you still paddling up stream and look forward to seeing more of your amazing fly’s. :).

You should post that fish pic you so innovatively caught in a camera trap too.

MemberThank you Ben! I do quite a bit of tying these days, and enjoy the creative aspects.
Thanks Zach, I’m glad to be here. I just replied to the Underwater Photography thread, and posted the photo we talked about on the phone…

Chad SimcoxMemberHey Graham, I think I commented on one of these Leo shots on your flickr page. Your realistic flies are amazing, I’m going to have to check out Grown Ups and look for those moths.

MemberWelcome back Graham.
I have spent time out there – not enough, but enough to know I’m going to spend more time there, as I’m able.

MemberThank you Kendal. I’m glad to be back! I’d like to chase some TX fish someday! The bass lakes around here get too crowded at times.

Do drop a note if you can make it out this way. As the book title says, “I Know a Good Place”
