    All,

I am not trying to get magazine quality images or anything (well, maybe if I get lucky), I just want something easy to use so that I can take some quality pictures and easily move them from camera to internet/email, and some light editing.

Chris, I’m far from an expert but you may want to look at PhotoShop Elements.

    Chris,

According to this program from Adobe you can get Lightroom for $79 or Photoshop CS5 for $169.

Any reason I should not get photoshop elements 7 instead of 8?  older version is half the cost….

Thanks for being patient with me.  I will post up a fish pic just for entertainment value so that this thread doesnt completely stink.

    Chris,
I completely agree with Eric. Given the modest price difference and the limitations of Elements, L2 would be your best bet. Plus, you have plenty of growing room w/ L2, and having L2 might even inspire you more. And, as Eric mentioned, it will double as a handy organizational tool for your images.

Lightroom 2 is on sale because it is about to be upgraded to Lightroom 3.

Why would you HAVE to pay the upgrade fee?
