    I know there is a big gear show going on this weekend, with all the new releases being shown and talked about. I for one am excited about some new glass for Sony, that being Carl Zeiss 24mm F2. I was curious if other brands are releasing any new stuff that you are excited about?

    Nikon has a new 24mm f/1.4 that I wouldn’t mind taking for a spin.

    I saw that Nikon was doing a 24 mm 1.4, and I wondered why Zeiss chose to stay at F2. :-/

    I am really interested in the new Nikon 16-35 f4 VR lens – mainly because I can use polarising and grey grad filters on it, whereas you can’t with their (awesome) 14-24 f2.8 lens.

    I am ok with paying a premium price for good glass, but does anyone else think that $2200 is too much for a Nikon prime lens? I was quite surprised to see the 24mm 1.4 at this price level. Maybe I’m just cheap.

    I agree with the high prices. I am not sure where I would b happy on the new Sony (Zeiss) 24, but I recently bought the 135 1.8 at around 1500, and I hated that.
