We went to the county fair on Fri night and I thought what the heck I’ll put the 28-70 2.8 on and see how it does. Turns out the fair has lots of photo opportunities but I wish I would have taken a little wider lens. Still, it was fun shooting all the lights.

    Better resolution.

Great stuff David as usual! I love the Cheesesteak merry-go-round photo. I really enjoy late evening digital and the blue hues of summer night skies.

The Gravitron! Best way on the planet to rid your body of all that nasty greasy fair food. I just passed on the fair food and the gravitron all together.

Dave they were running some big Tractors but the Bluegrass show started across the way and I headed over there. I would have taken some photos of the band but they wouldn’t have turned out well because of all the vibration coming from both my toes tappin.

This lens is a 20 year old piece of Minolta G glass. It’s one of those lenses that does pretty good most of the time and really shines some of the time. I like it alot for lighting situations like this. I think it’d be a great lens for a sideline football game. Won’t be long and I’ll know!

That lens did a great job for you! I really like the tonality of your 7th shot! Can’t help but feel that it would look terrific printed large, trimmed in a small black frame and then placed on a wall.

I’m sure it’s the same in Tennessee….here in Georgia it’s pronounced, “far”…….As in: Grab the chillins and let’s go to the far!

    Nice job Mike.
