? card for P&S HD video

please forgive my complete camera ignorance but I recently picked up a canon elph P&S that shoots 720 HD video (after my wife lost both our P&S and camcorder in a Magic Kingdom bathroom)…was wondering if I need to get high speed SDHC cards to maximize video image quality or will the basic cards be fine?
thanksI think you do best with the SD card Canon advises. It will be written somewhere in the user manual.
High Definition comes in a lot of different compressions. This means that the data transfer speeds are also really different, from 3Mbps to 300 Mbps. Most are in the lower region so mostly a 20Mbps will do fine.
