    Hi all

I just returned from a Cape Cod trip where I had to “make do” with a backpack that I used to carry various lenses (in LowePro lens cases), a laptop in a neoprene sleeve, and a full frame DLSR in a holster type case.  This was less than ideal.

Just before this trip, I started looking at various backpacks designed to hold it all.  Ideally, this backpack would have some level of water protection as well.  I saw various models of the LowePro line that had great storage features and water protection, but wanted to research this some more before pulling the trigger.

I am interested in any of your input and recommendations.

    Thanks!  Tight lines

LowePro’s Vertex line. All weather, including rain coat and sealed zippers.

I have the 300 and really like it. Its a bit heavy, but for days when I’m loaded for bear it’s great. The laptop sleeve I use for misc stuff, be it more accessorries, fly boxes, or whatever but it’s there for a laptop if thats what you want

I use the Dekine Sequence pack. I love the pack. I can squeeze my 15″ MBP in behind the camera block, but it’s kind of a tight fit when I have lots of gear in there as well.

    Both are backpacks…
Look at Burton’s pack made for snow boarders and skiers who do extreme photo/video.
