    Found this guy today.  I have searched briefly online and haven’t figured out yet what kind it is.  Put him in a bucket, took him home and snapped a few pictures before turning him loose in my yard.  I’d love to hear what it is if someone here knows.

    These two were my favorites.  Cool looking critter.

    Cool pics and critter:))) – looks a lot like -Antheraea polyphemus one of the giant silk moths .

    you will find their wings on the ground throughout summer as they are eaten by birds at night -body that is. wings are torn off and tossed away.
