American Angler Photo Needs

Here are my photo needs for the March/April issue of American Angler. I need submissions ASAP, of course.

1. Photos of an angler fishing a lake from shore. This is an opener for a story, so horizontals only. Looking for beauty shots or great grip-n-grins.

2. Close-up photos of fly rod components, especially faulty ones. Got a rod with a bad cork grip, bad wrapping job, poorly fitting ferrules, etc? Then I want pictures of it. This is for an article on how to evaluate every part of a fly rod.

3. Photos of people looking at LOTS of rods, either in a fly shop or at a consumer show. (To go with above story.) Or a great shot of someone obviously wiggling a fly rod to get its feel.

4. Photos of anglers making “fishing mends.” That is, not the initial mend after the cast, but mid-presentation mends. Or aerial shots that show the line on the water with obvious mends.
