Man ya’ll – can I stay connected to you, or not?
This time I’ve been out due to Ike. The rotten bastage flooded us, took a bunch of our stuff, and generally made life miserable for the past month.
The hurricane cleanup ugliness was compounded by both my wife and I getting nasty cases of poison oak. Then, my wife lost her job due to politics (literally – she works in city government – oh and yes, I’m starting to loathe politicians).
Anyway – we’ve had a really rotten month.
That said, things are getting better. My wife’s now gotten some great job leads, had a phone interview yesterday, and has a face to face with another local city next week.
Photography-wise, I haven’t shot much – but will post up some shots of the madness ’round here soon.
A huge happy day yesterday though, when I learned that not only did I have 13 of 17 photos in the falconry feature in the November issue of Texas Parks and Wildlife magazine – but I also got the cover.
Fine, fine stuff that.
I needed a little good news for a change.
