Another great shot Will. Neal, basically re-supports the suggested that I made about the book that you should write. Illustrations of the actual insect with a limited selection of fly’s that match that insect and stage.

Could you imagine that thing if it was 5 ft long and staring at you with eyes the size of bowling balls? YIKES!
That is one of the coolest and most interesting shots I’ve seen in a while.

I also think you should be publishing your work if someone else doesn’t offer to do so first. Check out http://www.blurb.com. I recently self published a short 30 page paper back through them and the quality was great. I wouldn’t recommend the paperback because mine has major edge curling problems on the softback cover, but their printing looks great.

Seriously, with photography like that, you wouldn’t need much else in the book!

The WHOLE book could be just photos and a blank opposite page with scientific name, common name and then a brief bit about its unique features. Give general Hatch Date and conditions, type of hatch (crawler, swimmer) and related fly pattern suggestions. I think a book like that would be totally cool, and unique.

If you need a graphic designer, look no further, I’d be glad to help out with something like that. I’ve done a number books through Lulu.com, as well as large scale custom print jobs through printers.
