There is alot of things that I could say about the first boat that is now up for sale. But I think I will just kind of let you guys make up your own minds on the boat.

This is the 14′ Little Rob. It is a boat designed by Jack Battersby in Mass. that I now have the rights to build for sale. It can be made as a solo or tandem and I have to say is really better as a solo. But it also does well as a tandem for the experienced paddler.

It weighs right around 27 pounds give or take and is completely fiber glassed inside and out. Every bit of this boat is completely hand made. I have to say that it is scary fast as well and on a recent trip I was able to hold a friend and  I in position in the Cahaba by simply skulling the boat. It also easily paddled up stream for me using a j-stroke while my friend fished.

All in all I am very impressed with the boat. I will be making this boat as either a solo or tandem with options galore. I will also be making a 12′, 15′, and 16′. Each one hand made to order. This is the first round of pictures and later this week when the weather is more co-operative I will get some more action shots.

If you’re interested in ordering one just give me a call and I will walk you through the whole deal of options including payment options.

    Options like:
    contoured or straight seats
    Back Rests
    Solid or decked breast works
    Scuppered or solid gunnels
Varieties of wood such as: Red Cedar, White Cedar, Cypress, or Redwood
    Caned seats or Webbed seats
Clear Smooth Line-X treatment to the hull
    Fiber glass or Kevlar
and so on and so on.

Well i’m ready to get the next boat on the way either a drift boat or glades skiff. Not sure which one yet. So I’m taking the Canoe out of the shop it had been in in Fairhope and selling it for what I need to get started.

If anyone is interested give me a call or drop me a line. I’ll take $2,000 or best offer. I’m ready to get started on the next boat.
