New thoughts on boats.

Another twist in the tale..
I’ve thought long & hard on the boat thing and come to the conclusion that what I really need is an Outcast Commander or Stealth Pro (changes by the minute lol)..
I’ve had a couple Incept (Waterstrider) boats – the oldest is 14 – and had some great days out with them and know how easy they are to get on the water.
I’ve also had some great days out on boats with various friends and guides and love that as well, but I think in the long run it will be simpler (and possibly cheaper) to have some guided days out on the big water than own and run a big water boat.
Plus, my wife insists a bigger boat would have to do family ski duties, not just fishing and I don’t think the Maverick 18′ fits that bill.Anyone here have an Outcast or the like, and care to add a comment ?

IF you’re agile enough I’d go with a fishing SUP before the Outcast. SUP’s aren’t for everyone and they do require good balance and some agility to stand and fish from all day. When paired with a nice carbon SUP paddle, a cooler to sit down every once and a while, they fish and cover water amazingly well. The best part is the ability to comfortably sight fish from an elevated platform in places that have never been sight fished like that before…. Getting one that is designed for fishing and stability is paramount if your legs are questionable.

We are a BIG country and only have to worry about crocs in some parts of it. Exmouth/Onslow on the west moving North all the way round to Rockhampton in Queensland. Mike, I think my cameras would be a bit exposed to the crocs (sorry) on an SUP.. lol
Adam, I spent some time with Nick and Morsie up in Cods country a few years back, and the Waterstrider ) Incept) boats were perfect in the tight shit-fight rivers he likes.
I think either of the Outcasts would work as well.A couple trips I have in mind for my new boat are up in the north of NSW chasing bass and cod in the rivers.
