MemberEveryones photos on this site have been so great and it is a true pleasure to dig around and look at all the great imagery.
I lost all of my reference material for drawing and painting and would like to make a shout out for some good imagery to start rebuilding my art portfolio.

Ben CochranMemberKevin, I know that feeling well. I was in Germany, a little over a year ago, and ran out of memory on my lap top. I decided to just migrate all image files onto one of my backup drives and migrated the data from another backup onto it as well, wanted to have another free one for new files as well. With Murphy adopting me as his best friend, I had a catastrophic crash on the main backup drive and lost over 200GB of image files. Now I carry many 2.5 backups, in my bags, for multiple redundancy; but that is another topic.
As I stated; I know your pain and would be more than happy to help out, where or however I can. I take a lot of shots of potential future backgrounds as a means to help increase derivative sales. Nonetheless, I would be happy to share some of those with you, but I can’t share any that were part of any of my assignment shoots, I know you understand that part. If you could offer a wish list, I will see what I have and will be more than happy to send what I can find for you. Or, if I run across something that you may want, I will be happy to get some fast shots of it for you. Feel free to send me an email, if you like.

MemberAdd me to the same list Ben added himself to – I’ve been around a bit, and would be willing to help you out.
A wide variety of shoots.
If you post a wishlist, we can go from there.

MemberI had a library that was full of just about any kind of commercial use background imagery that you could imagine. I have rethought my focus and want to narrow my illustrations to an out door focus. So here is a good list for you. I am basically looking for the stuff to build “THE REST OF THE STORY” that was mentioned in the “Golden Rule” thread.
trees,
grasses.
Macro water and rock shots
Insects
all around nature shots
Good landscape shots
odds and end fish or outdoor imagery.
Bird Hunting
Dogs
Birds (Quail, Grouse, and So On)And So On…. Outdoor stuff
I lost EVERYTHING in a fire and there are somethings the insurance company cannot replace. All of mine was slides and I would project it and paint it (kind of loosely to make it fit what I needed at the time) Now I am rethinking how I do everything.
I lost all my computers, art studio, fishing and hiking gear, tools and so on. Everything down to the shirt on my back and my winston in my car. It has been a hard row to hoe but we are coming out stronger than ever. I now am working on focusing my career to what I really want to do
Thanks and I truly appreciate the support.
Kevin.

Hey Kevin –

MemberI love your work, the reds remind of my grandfathers second home in Steinhatchee Florida. I learned how to drive on those straight roads when I was eleven. I basically grew up fishing those flats and havent been there in years. After looking through your photos, I need to plan a trip. I would love to see my wife hook into one of those reds (any red for that matter)
I will dig through the site a little better tomorrow on a land line. I REALLY LOVE THE EGGS. I might be buying that one for my wife. AND I will not ask about your experiences with Absinths.

John BennettMemberI’m not overly fussy about copyright and such stuff. Anything thats spoken for or where rights might be an issue doesn’t get uploaded, so anything thats on the web is pretty much wide open.
Im changing things around a bit as I focus more on wildlife, hunting and fishing this year. If you see anything of mine that can form the foundation of an illustration just pm or email me.

Ben CochranMemberKevin, sorry for the delay. Today, I am getting ready to take off to Philadelphia for a week but when I get back, I will go through my archives and collect some photo’s for you. ๐

MemberBen-
No problem and no delay. Trust me… I keep busy. Do not stress on getting me stuff.
I am slowly getting my art supplies back so I have been test driving some of my new stuff. The hard part is the organization… I had it the way i wanted it. I have posted some doodles around the site. I am kind of proud of my Grandfather drawing that I did last night. It has been 10 months since I did a “serious” drawing โ so this was a good memory to start with.

Ben CochranMemberThanks Kevin, just didn’t want you to think that I was not a person of my word ๐ . The drawing of your Grandfather sounds cool and I have no doubt that it is an amazing image. I envy drawing abilities as I can barely draw my name, much less something recognizable :).

MemberThanks Kendal.
There are other doodles around the site. I am getting loosened back up to really get serious about the illustration game again. It has been a while and now I have a good focus of what I would like to do.
