I am talking with my host. If you refresh you’ll get through eventually – this is probably an intermittent issue on their end.

    Thanks,

Server issues appear to have been addressed. Had to email the damn CEO but it got done.

Obviously the server issues are coming and going. I apologize for the down time and I appreciate y’all continuing to check in.

This site runs on a web host called JaguarPC. With the new software we’re using, all back-end information like post content, user logins, etc., is handled by a secondary server called a MySQL server. For some reason the MySQL sever assigned to this account has been on the fritz. If it continues I will absolutely switch hosts, but since that is an enormous pain and very time consuming, I will try to give JaguarPC a chance to fix their issues.

Ironically the server seems to be screwing up because our traffic is increasing again. My guess is they are not allocating enough resources to this site.

We were getting delved by forum spammers out of China and, ironically, one known IP address in Kansas. That’s what was bringing the board to a crawl and causing the database errors – inability to reach our MySQL box.

I have the ability to block IP ranges. If you guys start getting database error notices, please email me so I can hop on our logs and block the people doing it.

It only took like three days of tech support to figure out this relatively simple issue…
