John BennettMemberHers a few to add, lets see if the thread gets some steam. I’m just starting down the macro road myself this spring.

David AndersonMemberNice shots above !
Here’s a Booby fly in the gob of a nice rainbow on the stripping apron of my Floatboat.

A damsel getting ready to launch first thing in the morning.

Another early morning shot.

This is a big stonefly from a very small stream.

All these are shot on a 100 2.8 Canon macro.

A picture is thousand words that takes less than a second while a thousand words is a picture that takes a month.

MemberCourty you must spend some time cruising the web mate………. nice to have another Aussie back-up.

Cicada – about as large as your thumb. We call this one a “greengrocer”. Bass love ’em.

Horse fly or March fly – very important terrestrial in the Snowy Mountains, biting blood sucking bastards, but trout love ’em!

A bait ball of West Australian sprats.

MemberFantastic shots everyone!
Morsie, I love the photo of the dragonfly. That is just too nice. I have always been one to sit and watch them hover and dart about as they drift over reed beds.
Thanks – Darrin
Sweet shot of that bait ball too.

Anyone know what this is?

MemberTim, I have the funniest memory of some crawdads like this one. It would probably piss off some crawdad loving folks out there, but I love dog involved (now deceased :() much more than the 20-30 crawdads (also now deceased…hilariously deceased [smiley=evil.gif]). Is that bad? :-[
Sorry, I can’t identify the critter more, but thanks so much for that memory. It will always put huge grins on my gob.
Thanks again, Darrin
p.s. – the dog, name of Vinnie, took some good pinches in the process. this of course led to some flying crawdads as Vinnie then shook his head. [smiley=evil.gif] i’m sure you seen cats play with their food, well some dogs evidently do it too.
