Okay, I’ve never flown outside of the US, and my upcoming trip to Eleuthera, even though exciting, has me a little concerned. I’m taking my new D80 with me to hopefully capture some cool bonefish images. I was wondering if there are any concerns about the xray, and other security checks the camera will be exposed to doing damage to the SD card and other elecronic parts of the camera.

And for those of you that fly all the time, any other helpful suggestions that you may have for me.

    Thanks

You shouldl have absolutely no problems sending your digital equipment through x-ray machines.

Thanks Zach…I about screwed up ’cause I was about to pack it in the cargo bag. The trip is from Ft. Lauderdale to Eleuthera in a twin engine from Continental Airlines, all of about 1.25 hrs. But I will definately carry it aboard with my reels.
