Well…our old HP scanner, printer, fax machine crapped out and I’d like to invest in a moderately priced scanner.

If you don’t want to wait on one of the new Kodiak’s, you might want to look at the Cannon CanoScan 4400F. I picked one up a couple of months ago and it seem to get the job done. It too has the ability to scan negs/slides.

The Kodak Zack referred to looks pretty cool. Thanks Zach. I need a multi page scanner now and am in the market for an all in one machine.

Canon also just announced a new multi-function laser printer that can do duplex printing and has pretty cool scan features! But don’t think it does slides or negatives.

It’s due out in April. $399. May have to look hard at it since I do a lot of duplex printing on class notes and sometimes need laser quality print for an outside job printer. But the Kodak Easy Share 5500 looks like a great deal too with the new ink technology.

Cameron, if I upgrade later this spring, I may have a HP Scanjet 4470c to get rid of. Contact me later if you are still looking. It has a slide/negative attachment.
