    Hey,

    I think I am picking up the new D40 for myself for the holidays. (New to DSLRs.) Can anyone explain why some 2 gig SD cards are $40 and some are $100? Do they both work with the D40? Am I missing some significant difference?

    Also, anyone have any experience with the D40s beyond the counter at the store?

    No experience with the D40.

    In large part, the difference in price for same-capacity SD or CF cards is related to the write speed, or speed which the digital image is transferred to the card from the camera when the photo is taken.
