I get most of my ideas off of the web now but I’m wondering if there are “go to” catalogs you get from stores for fly ideas, etc.

The Fly Shop has a really extensive fly selection.

Check out Kaufmann Streamborn and Feather-Craft catalogs.

Kaufmann Streamborn was one of the first catalogs I got in the late 80’s – early 90’s and learned a lot.

I wish that I had seen this before your box was shipped. the reps bring new ones on every visit and the old ones get tossed. I can save some till your next order.

This year, The Fly Shop advertised that each of the patterns on the 32 pages of flies in their catalog has it’s own tying recipe on their website.

This year, The Fly Shop advertised that each of the patterns on the 32 pages of flies in their catalog has it’s own tying recipe on their website.  That makes it even easier to figure out the flies (and spend money on materials at their shop).

    That’s funny, I can’t find one.

    Cole:

Can’t find a catalog or one of the recipes?
