Here’s my favorite with a tutorial courtesy of Charlie’s Fly Box.  Very easy to tie and highly effective.  I often add a strip of clear mylar along the back of the fly.

The BTS Mysis Shrimp is another great pattern.

I agree that the charlies mysis is killer. It is about the easiest mysis to tie and very effective. If you are fishing right at the outlet, i.e. the toilet bowl, I prefer a more clear mysis like a solitude mysis or another epoxy pattern. They are more clear when they come out of the lake but turn to a milkier color as they die.

One thing i like to do on a charlies mysis is mix in a little uv pearl dubbing with the egg yarn for the body. Gives the fly a subtle flash that the bows love.

I tie a variation of charlie’s. I use a few strands of rainbow crystal flash in the tail and some orange yarn in for a gut.

The yarn will get dirty with all of the slime in the water so be sure to clean it off to keep it translucent.

Thanks, guys for the responses.  I tried some out and this is what I came up with and the fish seemed to like it:

It’s a combo of stuff I’ve seen and the one’s you all directed me to, including using some pearl mylar in the construction.
