    Thought I’d share this pattern with you – developed between Bill & Kate Howe and Dean Butler. This is a single hook version on #6/0 Gamakatsu SL12S (the Trey Combs Big Game hook) – for those monster GTs we have in Western Australia.

    The wing is layered Super Hair with flash between clumps.I use a clothes peg to secure the wing in that upright pose when I apply the epoxy – and of course, the bigger the eye the better.

    A red slash to imitate exposed gills works well. A note – tie some with very little flash, or take some scissors with you – there are occasions in clear shallow water where the fish will spook at too much flash.

    Very tight lines…
