I was a little confused by the first shot but after I scrolled down I was with you.
What will this micro fodder be used for, since the original is used for big shoal bass?

    Keith,

The advantages of the rubber band eye system include the ability to quick change your weight while on the stream and also to quick change colors or texture.

Cool variation Neal, I bet that would slay some big ol shellcrackers.

Craig gave me a couple Fodder’s on Sat. He has some awesome patterns.

Pretty cool Neal! I see a new hex fly coming to a vise near you. With the floating head you could cover all areas of a nymphs transistion. Weighted heavy for on the bottom, lightly weighted as it starts to rise, a floating head, hanging tail down in the current as it trys to split it’s larval case. Where can I get some of these smaller rings?

Welcome to the site Craig!  I will send you a package of the micro rings tomorrow.

I agree with your comments about the various weighting systems that could be employed for smaller patterns as you mention above.

I have seen Craig on another board, and also have seen the results of the HF.

Yes, Hairy Fodder has been picked up by Rainy’s Flies. It should become available in stores sometime this year. Rainy’s was selling it this last Fall to distributors at the trade shows. Now they have to tie them. They even picked up the interchangeable weighting system but as of now I believe that is only for my patterns, not anyones elses (yet).

congrats on the pick up of the fly.

Hairy Calamari got picked up too but I didn’t figure most of you knew my squid fly. The Georgia Bullfrawg and the Receding Hare Worm are under consideration for this year. Won’t find out if they’re picked up till later this winter. They’re going to make 10 colors and 3 sizes of Hairy Fodders.

    Hey Craig,
How about some pics of the flies you just mentioned, if you can.

I’ll get you some pictures soon. I’m a computer moron and can’t seem to figure out how to transfer photos to the site. But no fear I have someone finally coming over to give me a “hands on” learning experience to show me how easy it supposively is to do. So hang in there. Once I “get it” I’ll bury you in pictures.

Looking forward to it Craig! You may also check out the thread Zach started on how to post pics on IA.
