I’ve got a remote bonefishing trip in the works that also promises the opportunity to chase GTs.  I’d hate to get there, bust a rod, and be out of the game after the first fish I hook…or worse yet, before I even hook one.  I’m not looking for anything special, just a decent 8wt. and 12wt. to use as backups to the main sticks.  Inexpensive is the key because I don’t have a large budget for this and the rods likely won’t even get used.

I’m also interested in any 8wt. or 12wt. lines that people might have laying around.  Again, they would be backups in case I lose lines getting wrapped around coral and whatnot, so its fine if they’re a little beat up.  Just looking for something to keep me in the game if things get really desperate.

    Cheers,
    Tim

Turns out the tossers over at US Airways aren’t going to let me use my air miles for the flight, so back-up gear is no longer in the budget.
