    The SLIMY SCULPIN a favorite baitfish for trout hungry menu especialy big big brook trout.

    I always loved the muddler minnow but for a more realistic silhouette this sculpin imitation as always been a great pattern for my biggest brook trout. So I decided to share this one with you,

    SLIMY SCULPIN

    Material

    Hook – Streamer hook 1/0 to 6/0
    Thread – black
    Body – grey muskrat fur
    Wing- Natural rabbit strip tied zonker style and grey marabou
    Fins- Olive marabou tied on each side
    Head- small bunch of natural deer hair trimmed and olive deer hair trimmed like photo below

    Sharp looking pattern. Some flash and maybe an articulation and you have yourself a killer steelhead streamer.

    try tying it upside down like a zonker, throw some lead eyes on the head and use chennile to make the head, also try raffia for fins.
