anybody besides me tie and use them? I’ve tied up a few of these Ultimate Cicada’s for my Yellowstone trip. Have caught a few bluegill on TransparANT, Firefly, Jap Beetles this year, but all in all the bluegill fishing has been slow for me, probably the heat.

Actually, I see that there is a book on tying flies with foam/fur by said author.

I don’t own alot of “pattern” books, but I do this one and I like it. Until this year, I’ve always been a fur and feather kind of guy. Lots of foam flies are going with me to Yellowstone.

I took quite a few of Mr. Steeves patterns with me to Yellowstone, I like the way they look but to be honest, I didn’t get a bite on them. Only bluegill back in Tennessee with them so far.

Anyone have success with his patterns?
