I am wanting to whip up some smaller crease flys for shoalies and was wondering if anyone has any tips for these?

If anyone has any expertise, what are you using to coat the foam? I read about using Thompson water sealer.

Crease Flies are awesome patterns – love them for everything from bluefish to bass to cutthroat trout (have caught them all on crease flies).

What are you using to color them? I was going to use sharpies but didn’t know if there was something better.

It was an insane #3/0 Crease Fly meant to imitate a Peacock Bass fry – surprised the crap out of me that it took it.
