Trout Crack Video Is Up

Hey guys-

I figured out a way, using a magnifying glass, to get my little camera to focus close enough to look at a fly.  It isn’t easy to get my hands around but I made it work for the dropper knot video.  Now I mean to try with Trout Crack, John Wilson’s kick ass scud pattern.

The pattern goes like this:

Hook: #14-18 Scud
Thread: Clear Monofilament
Body: Tan Antron/Whatever Dubbing (John has a secret dubbing)
Shellback: Larva Lace

This pattern is very simple but ridiculously effective anywhere there are scuds.  It is probably the best actual live scud imitation I have ever seen.  

I will get this made up in a couple days.

Great job on the video Zach, Thanks! I tied a bunch of them last night but they didn’t work to good today… Come to think of it nothing worked to good today. Going back to Cland tomorrow maybe the KY fish will have a better attitude.
