Buy a cheap double paddle and chop one end off, cobble up a handle on the end and Bob’s yer uncle.

Amazon.com has a Carlile convertable for about $75 that you can convert from a SUP to a kayak paddle.

The sports authority near the river had that convertible stand up Carlisle paddle for around $80 the other day. I was looking at them for the same reason and will probably end up with that one. Carlisle makes a solid paddle.

Carlisle also makes a 72″ canoe paddle for $30.

Have you ever considered a canoe pole? Made one rod a couple years ago.

I just use a kayak paddle in the canoe. Works great standing up and is awesome for sitting down and covering some water. I usually have my children with me and they get to fish while I row from the middle.

Since moving down to South Florida, I am discovering the world of SUP’s and they are everywhere down here.

There are some cheaper paddle board paddles down here. I will look next time I am in Gander Mountain, Sports Authority and my Kayak shop. You can get one for a reasonable fee, or an obscene fee, your choice;)
