I thought they moved off the flats as it warmed up and then came back as it cooled off?

Zach, I live in hilton head but about the same patterns. This is a tough time. they are in between patterns, moving off low tide schools and into the grass. You should be able to find isolated fish on the low tide flats and some floating fish up on the grass flats. If you find fish on the low tide and they do not eat, get the fly in front of them and dead stick it. There have been crabs up on the flat already, but this last cold front probably pushed them back down. Good. Luck.

Well I’ve still got two more weeks.

I did get out on Sunday near Savannah.

Got to see a nice sunrise:

But no fish to report.  What looked good on the satellite images was not great at the high tide we fished.  We didn’t really find anything shallow enough for sight fishing – most spots even with grass were in 4+ ft of water.  We cast in creeks and creek mouths with some rattle clousers, but no luck.  Given the frequency I’ve been fishing lately, I was happy to just get out and cast a bit.  The large tides and dingy water make it a hard place to figure out on the fly.
