I have a few sets of reel seat blanks from master rod maker, Bernard Ramanauskas http://www.edencane.com. They are extras he didn’t need and wants to make room for a new batch. He stabilized them using his proprietary method, which I know little about. But, it is a very durable stabilization that makes for a beautiful seat.
I am selling them in groups of five, for $35/group, plus shipping. They are labeled by letters A-I, and you get the blanks pictured. I put one coat of polyurethane on a section to better show the color/grain. I will also sell individual or other groups if you need. Price per blank is $8/blank, plus shipping. These really are sweet blanks with the tiniest, if any, voids. I’ve turned four or five, and have been extremely happy!
Groups A-D are 3/4″ OD x 3 1/2″ long with a 5/16″ bore. Groups E-I are 7/8″ OD x 3 3/4″ long with 5/16″ bore. A few blanks in A-D have the 3 3/4″ long blanks that are 3/4″ OD, and should be noticeable in the photos. The last photo shows a reel seat I am working on from a randomly selected piece. I have one coat of spar on it to better show what a final product may look like.
