I just went over to The Drake, which used to be a great source of trip reports with fantastic pics, but I was pretty disappointed. I think a lot of the guys who were posting those awesome threads have moved on now.
We have had some great trip reports here as well. Let’s get some going again! I’m headed to the Little Red this week, maybe I’ll pick up some nice fish. In the mean time, I’ve been catching schoolie stripers on the Hooch. The other day I found an actual trolling motor…
These pics are all phone pics so they’re pretty terribl, but I promise to get some good stuff soon.

Both crafts getting ready to roll on Memorial Day. I hit the upper Hooch in my Gheenoe since the water is deeper, but I really prefer to canoe it (standing like a stand up paddle board) and fish the choppier stuff down low.

Here’s the trolling motor with battery in the river one day – obviously someone had knocked it off their prow at high water. Dried it out, took it home, charged it up — works perfectly.

Terrible out of focus cell pic of a standard schoolie striper (7 lbs. this year – they get a little bigger every year).
