If you guys haven’t seen it, you should check out the Undamming the Elwha Video – recently posted on Vimeo – relatively well done. http://vimeo.com/40519851
This brings up a continuing frustration I have with Vimeo. Namely, that it has tons of really, really cool videos. (See: Flight of the Frenchies (http://vimeo.com/31240369), Undercity (http://vimeo.com/18280328), Riding High (http://vimeo.com/27267942), Paraskiing Utah (http://vimeo.com/17909042), Industrial Revolutions (http://vimeo.com/30043673), and any of the BombFlow kayak videos by these guys (http://vimeo.com/user7690419),
BUT Vimeo makes it nearly impossible to discover new content actually on Vimeo – 99% of the time, I find Vimeo’s content from a link on an external site. It doesn’t smartly suggest similarly awesome videos and Vimeo’s categories feature has a really terrible signal / noise ratio. It just feels too much like a scavenger hunt, which is too bad given all of the great stuff up there.
Besides commiserate, I really want to know a couple of things from you folks.
First, am I doing something wrong?
Second, what Vimeo videos would you recommend as awesome?
