This spring the carp fishing has been very good for me, when the rivers haven’t been blown out. I was able to find a new carp spot this year and it has been paying off big for me. I am at 189 landed this year so far, and hoping to get to 500.

Since I am now the shop manager, I have not had the time to make the trip up to Lake Michigan for an monster size carp this year. That being said I am still catching some nice fish and have had a few fish over 20lbs. Lost a couple pushing the 30lb mark too.

Here are some pictures from an outing before the rains blew everything out. The new spot that I am fishing is just minutes from downtown, plus the fish fight hard. Have had many fish go into my backing, so even while heading up stream in swift current.

Mirror from earlier in the year.

    I love this picture. “VICTORY!”

Good stuff man. Looks like a great spot! I dig the mirrors too. I haven’t managed to find any of those in the waters I fish. Keep it up.

    yeah….189 isn’t bad….but I’ve caught 2….my whole life!

So, as I’m scrolling down looking at the photos, the second to last comes on the screen and I’m loving how there is a traffic light pole in view….but, once that last photo showed up…..THAT WAS AWESOME! Thanks for sharing!
