This video is a Godsend for anyone with a pair of Korker wading boots; especially the new 2011 Korker Chrome boots with the Boa lace system http://www.vimeo.com/21134756
I can’t embed Vimeo videos here so the link is above.
After 3 months with my new Chrome’s, I noticed that the Boa dial was starting to slip because of sand buildup in the gears. This weekend while hiking and wading heavily in the mountain streams my right boot Boa dial completely slipped, which made for dangerous wading. The boot ceased to “hold” the wire lace tight. I thought the system was striped and feared the boots were up for a maintenance. However, the above video explains how to use the included Boa tool to remove the dial and clean and retighten the system. After a thorough cleaning, both boots are as good as new!
