Anyone have tips on zippers that constantly get stuck on fishing bags.

smear the zipper liberally with Carmex or Chap Stick and LOL.

Ditto on what Neal said. Original chapstick works best for me though some may prefer the cherry flavored…  😕

The plastic snap on the belt on my fishpond pack broke way before the bag. I robbed one from a camera backpack and it’s working nicely still.
Bottom line IMO is hardly anything is built to last anymore.

It’s nice that companies like Fishpond usually always stand behind the products they sell but I’d rather not have to deal with broken product if given a choice.

    Silicone spray works best.

    Thanks all
I did the deep clean with a scrub brush and got the zippers loose.

Sagebrush uses really heavy duty zippers that are waterproof too! I think it is called the t-zip! You only need to lubricate it once in a while.

I have brought it to NZ and taken a few falls. My dslr is still dry and clean.

go to any of the hard ware stores while youre in the area that you’re saltwater fishing and check and see what they have. I imagine somewhere like west arine has numerous products for that same problem.

Hey Brett, are they jamming on the liner fabric or wear and tear?

Ive got a 7yo waterdance, and a 4yo backpack I use daily and the zippers work better than their owner so I’m curious. My suggestion email fishpond. They have always been super receptive to criticism/feedback

Heck I trod on and broke the female part of the waist belt called them up to order a new part and they sent one for nix.

    Cheers

    Thanks Steve

My problem was hard use and poor care.

I use this stuff which is made for marine use: http://www.mclubemarine.com/sailkote/
It works good without leaving a residue.
