Hi,
Thought some of you might be interested, not just in who’s participating, but, from a writers POV, that opportunities like this exist.
At this year’s Tom Helgeson’s Great Waters Expo in April in Minneapolis, the Expo’s tradition of supporting writing is going to continue. Since the Expo was conceived by Tom Helgeson, publisher/editor of Midwest Fly Fishing magazine, the writers of MWF thought it’d be fun to host a Q&A session to share ideas. That evolved into a panel of writers and artists, most closely associated with Tom, and his children decided to carry that on this year, the first without Tom.
Authors with new book are invited to sign copies at the Midwest Fly Fishing booth, and include Gary Borger, John Galligan, Victoria Houston, Larry Gavin, Tom Waters, and myself. We’ll mostly be paired up, in 1 1/2 hour turns.
In addition, the panel, for Sunday’s session, includes a broad cross section of publishing knowledge:
Baird Helgeson – journalist
Larry Gavin – poet
Jeff Kennedy – artist / blogger
Bob White – artist / illustrator
Mike Dvorak – photographer
John Galligan – fly fishing mysteries
Victoria Houston – fishing mysteries
Tom Waters – informational writing (rivers of MN, etc)
Kathy Scott – narrative non-fiction
Panel members introduce themselves, then the floor is opened to questions. I attempt to moderate 🙂
Wish we had Zach… and all of you, but …
Just fyi,
Kat
