Hey guys –
The Great Southern Fishing Show is coming right up on February 19-20 at the North Atlanta Trade Center in Norcross. It’s going to be quite the event; there’s a gun show going on in the next room down the hall so I expect it to be super well-attended. They are going to be issuing half-price coupons for attendees of one show to cross over to the other. Great timing; you could really kill a Saturday or Sunday at this event.
I know Kelly Galloup and Jim Klug are going to be coming down; both have been podcast guests and Klug’s kind of a friend of mine. They will be great speakers.
I am also going to be “featured” (whatever that means).
My schedule is as follows:
Saturday
Casting Area 1:15-2:15 Fly Casting Lessons: Distance Fly Casting
Trout Theatre 1:45-2:45 Tailwater Trout Angling in the South
Sunday
Casting Area 1:15-2:15 Single Hand Spey Casting
Trout Theatre 1:45-2:45 Appalachian Angling: Enjoying our Native Trout
When I’m not giving a seminar or a casting lesson, I’ll also be in a fly tying booth demonstrating how to make that Silly Putty Spoon Fly, which is a lot of fun. I’m most likely going to be working strictly with Clear Cure Goo as it is way easier and less messy to deal with.
I’m attaching the notes from the Trout Tactics seminar below. I’ll pop the brookie ones up when I get them together. Obviously these will also come with a slide show.
