    hey all,
a friend of mine, a guy who has guided in Russia, Norway, Sweden and some other cool places just gave me a video to watch called “home for salmon”….maybe everyone knows it already….
anyway, if you haven’t seen it, it is pretty special.
while a bit of a plug for the lodges on these Russian rivers in the Kola peninsula, i found this video to be stunning in its cinematography and the story it tells is outstanding.
basically, it tells of the efforts of the Atlantic Salmon Reserve to rebuild the natural fish population in this part of Russia…you can see the struggles they have had against poachers etc…

the film of the salmon and of the brown trout is spectacular. i am not a photographer at all (as you can see by my posted photos) but i can appreciate it – this film is visually stunning.

i am currently sitting in Kazan, Russia for a few days and feel like making the journey over to the Kola peninsula just to see these fish!

anyway, if you haven’t seen it, give it a shot. pretty neat.

here is info from the back of the box:

a film by Kristian Topp, Danicafilm
    2009
