    Cool find today.
Took my mom to an antique flea market/junk market today and scored this 1969 mount of a grayling for $25.  Pretty cool.  I’m not into mounts or anything like that, but old mounts look cooler than today’s airbrushed jobs.

From what I could find via a quick internet search, “Snowbird Lake” is a fly-in only lake in the Northwest Territories, and famous for large Pike, Lake Trout and Grayling.

A search on the taxedermist yielded that he is stil in business and local in my area.  Pretty cool.

That is a neat find….Dave! I bet there is a great story behind that catch as well.

I like old skin mounts as well. Especially the way that they yellow with age. I was under the impression that skin mounts were airbrushed as well?
