Hahahahaha, this was a very funny post, Keith.  It was good to meet you too, and thanks again for helping with the boat there at the end.  This is the first time I’ve been laid out on a trout stream, but it absolutely happens all the time when I’m standup fishing out in the surf.  I knew it would be hot enough today that I decided to run my risks, and yep, those risks were definitely real.  🙂

I could have paddled up stream to the location of the chain, but I did not order the underwater paddler package, so retrieving would have been difficult.

Bob,
I was telling a few guys that there is a learning curve in the kayak. The float is quicker so I had to plan my presentation a little better. A drift sock would slow me down enough to fish it like a toon.
We had a guy in a 13 ft prowler and he was fine. There was only one spot were there may be trouble but Neal could give you specifics on that spot.
If you decide to bring them up let me know and I will let you know when I am back in Tampa next spring.
