SW Colorado Backcountry (**no fish**)

I just returned from a backcountry trip (lead a group of Boy Scouts) in the San Juan Mountains. We fly fished in Cascade Creek, the upper Animas river, and Columbine lake without success. Its was obviously still early in the season for high country. Ice off was wrapping up and the snow melted quicker this year due to dust/ash layering. FWIW, the link below contains mostly backpacking/peak bagging shots but nothing related to fishing…) Thought you all would enjoy it anyways. Brian
