    Anybody fishing one of these?

I’m thinking about picking up a 9wt or 10wt for Northeast Saltwater.  My fishing will be done exclusively from the beach and will involve alot of blind casting.

Are the 9wt and 10wt S4S light and well balanced enough to blind cast for several hours straight?

    Thanks.

I have the S3s 10w and love it.

I have the S4s #8 and #9, they are very light in physical weight without sacrificing strength or ability, have brilliant recovery and are built with the best of the non-corrosive components. They are capable of belting out a long cast as well as fishing right up close to snags. In fact, I’ll be fishign with my #8 from the beach next week, where 80′ casts with a Clouser Deep Minnow swinging off the end is pretty normal. Balance is something you need to weigh up with your whole outfit… I use Hatch or Nautilus reels on mine and have no problems. Personally, I prefer the S4s over the S3s.

    Best Regards,

It’s a sweet stick – my favorite in my arsenal right now.
