    Hey Folks,

Been quiet on the board lately but visit often and enjoy everyone’s reports and pictures.

Have always enjoyed the dog-themed threads on this board and, finally, can now start one of my own. The new fishin’ buddy is a 9-month old chocolate lab named Victor. While we’ve got a lot of work to do, he is already a joy to fish with. His indoctrination has been fast and furious and he’s already got a nice mixed bag under his belt…

    Day 1: warmwater

Caught the last of the spring steelhead

Right at home in the boat

Moved on to more sophistacated trouts

And of course, he’s learning to strike a pose

Some bumps along the way but so far it’s been a fun ride. Please share your stories and pictures of other fishing dogs on the board!

Great stuff.  A chocolate lab is high on my list of dog preferences for when I get one.  Looks like you got yourself a great fishing buddy.

Great stuff Jim! And you’re doing much better than I did with mine…I can’t keep her from chomping up fly lines.

The only thing better than one fishing buddy Jim is two! 🙂 I have found the key is to let them have their fun first and then they will listen a WHOLE lot better when you get a fish on.

I see me some Spiffy Dog gear, Moosedog. Those guys have certainly got some of my money in the past two years. Thanks, BTW.
