I was listening to the podcast with Tim Boyle of Columbia, great job Zach.  He made a somewhat humorous statement about one of the problems that they have with their products is their durability.  They don’t wear out.  I laughed and then realized that I was, at that moment, wearing an olive green Columbia fishing shirt that is at least 15 years old. I know it is older than my daughter and she is 14 1/2.  I bought it when I lived in Arizona.  It has been worn a lot, fished in a lot.  It is in great shape.  Other than some Oak Creek Canyon Ponderosa Pine pollen stains it looks almost new.

When I bought the shirt no one wore those ‘funky shirts with the flaps in the back’ in public.  I loved it.  I wore it on the street because it is just so danged hot in Phoenix.   When I fished people asked where I got it because they loved it.

I am wearing it in my avatar photo.

When I was a kid, THE duck hunting coat to have was a Columbia Quad.

Phoenix hot?  Nah.  I’m in Tempe and it’s already ninety.  Yeesh.  Four hours in a car and you can run into an 8 foot snowdrift, but it sure as heck hot here.

    Yep.
