MemberI was on the PM on Oct. 16th of last year. We got into them, but they were already spawned out and looking rather spent. From what we were told, I got there two weeks too late for the salmon and two weeks too early for the steelies.

Mark SchaferMemberVery nice Rick, sounds like you need some new oars.

MemberVery nice Rick, sounds like you need some new oars. It’s also nice to see Mr. Montgomery with a fish that requires more than one hand.
MSThat was not my fish, Mr. Schafer. The guide we dragged up from the Cumberland landed that spawned out beauty, which is more than I could have said for either of us, until I ass-hooked the steelie on the Manistee.

D.Spawned out isn’t the word for them, more like the swimming dead.

No argument here. I have never seen so many dead fishies.

Mark SchaferMemberI should have noticed that manicure did not belong to you. Next year we’ll get Rick to come with us he might enjoy the smelt dinner at the Log Bar.

MemberSmelt dinner? I cannot believe you guys eat that and claim to enjoy it. As I have spent little time with Rick, I do not claim to know his culinary preferences. However, located as he is, geographically, I assure you he is not dining on smelt. Calf fries, or Rocky Mt. Oysters, might be more appropriate.

MS,
I just realized we were not referring to the same Rick…mon mauvais!
