Eric…I think they are a great tool to have around to learn off of.

I think she needs a better guide, that doesn’t look like promising water. 😉

I have one that I bought just because it looked like fun.

I have one as well and like it. I don’t get to do a lot of casting in the winter so it helps keep the muscles fresh for when spring hits. With the bright yellow rope for line it is a very good visual tool to help you correct things you are doing wrong.

Can’t wait to try out a 100+ ft distance cast  ;D

This begs the question… what type of line/yarn is good on these rods?
Our club has two of the Joan Wulff models and the yarn is history. It just didn’t seem to last long and was a bit too slow to settle down even when new and unfrazzled.
Now that we learned the yarn they use on the Wulff models don’t take kindly to hauling, maybe we’ll get more life out of them!  😕

    Mine just arrived.
It is fun, however I wonder if the yarn will be durable enough?

Has anyone tried the long strands of yarn that is used to make egg patterns?

So far I have caught a fender stratocaster and almost hauled in a 85lb. Golden retriever.
