Did a last fall blast up to SWMT for 3 day weekend w/ Bryan. The weather had been a little wet, snowy, and cold the week before .. and when it warmed up it stained all the rivers with a bit of mud.  However, a little bit of warm sun made for a pleasant couple of days on the river.

I do the website for the local shop in Twin and this was my first real opportunity to hangout and fish with them. We were able to swing a VERY convenient room above the shop (slept in) and floated a couple of the local rivers. I think everyone involved had a damn good time!

Dropped out stuff off and headed out for some wade fishing on a local tailwater. Here is a view of Twin Bridges from the room.

    View from below the dam.

    A nice fish or two.

and a bit of a hike back the the truck.

Day two we hit hit the Big Hole … With the cold snap and freeze the colors just didnt happen this year. Either way, this is the most stunning freestone around!

    Frank’s (guide) dash.

Frank waitin’ for a fish or two …

Off to the Jeff for the last day to rip some more streamers. My second time on this river and I think I’m in love and might actually have to throw down the $$$ for a drift boat soon! lol

Great stuff Corey!  That top B&W shot of twin is awesome.  For some reason it reminds me of something from an old movie. …   🙂

Tim: I think its a matter of when, not if … I’ll look forward to it! Did you see canon has some lens rebates going on? 😉

Great post Corey!  Isn’t the upper Jefferson a neat and lonely piece of water?  Did you float from the park in town to Hell’s Canyon or lower down?

Joel: I will shoot you an email for sure…. I have been thinking a bit about a midwinter trip. Hit a few tailwaters and play in the snow. Have not really narrowed it down on the driftboat … Liking the RO.

Mike: Yes! Its a very cool river! Honestly, cant wait to get back. Dont remember exactly which section it was that we floated. It was closer to Twin, but not from the park.
