This summer has been a blast, and I’ve had the chance to fish several outstanding fisheries. Over the last week or so, I’ve gone back to my “throwdown” river a couple times. Even though it is not a famous name, there is nothing like fishing water that is your home turf. I’ve fished new sections of the river these last few weeks as well, finding water that is new, yet familar.
Fall is certainly here. I’ve managed to find several BWO hatches, and caught trout on small dries. Yesterday, a storm was blowing in, with high winds, but still I managed some luck on a nymph rig.
Fishing a few minutes from home allows you the chance to sit on the bank, enjoy a local brew, and enjoy the memories of the season.
